In the heart of the Doux Valley, 3 km from Lamastre in a hamlet of authentic stones, Catherine and Eric took over the authentic bed and breakfast "O Doux Valoan". Come and relax at Valoan for a weekend or a vacation ... because a stay in Valoan, away from the crowds but close to everything, is the perfect place to explore this region full of traditions and tastes.

Relax under the beautiful stars of the Ardèche skies in our five B&B rooms for 2 or 3 people. Each has an en suite bathroom and WC. Spend time on our 26 acre farm (horses, woods and meadows) before joining us for an unforgettable "table d'hôte" evening meal made from local produce. The guest lounge, featuring a traditional Ardèche fireplace with a bread oven, dates back to 1773. We are 6km from the Gerbier de Joncs and directly on the Ardèche mountains GR hiking path.

The Convent of the Sisters of St Joseph was founded in 1760 approximately. In those days many people followed their religious vocation. The convent expressed an atmosphere of poverty and modesty. Yet hundreds of young women were attracted by the Convent as the sisters of St Joseph offered to teach them.
