This outstandingly spacious house was built sometime in the 1800s and, unusually for a house located in a village, it has very large gardens to the front and rear. The accommodation, over 180m2 of it, comprises a large kitchen, dining room and 2 reception rooms.

The village of Biert is in the heart of the Pyreneen mountains of South West France, in the Department of Ariège, close to the Spanish border. The Ariège, and in particular the mountain valleys of the Couserans, is relatively undeveloped, and in many ways life goes on here just as it has done for centuries. Situated at 600 metres, Biert itself is a traditional mountain village in the Arac valley, between St Girons and Massat, and offers both summer and winter activity holidays with many local places of interest to visit.

The only B&B in the centre of medieval Foix, close to restaurants, cafés, markets and shops. Private enclosed garden and parking area. A great base from which to explore in all directions.

Come and stay in luxury in our Maison de Maitre. Built by a rich hat manufacturer around the turn of the last century with no expense spared and upgraded in 2002 to add modern luxuries. We have 4 very spacious rooms and 1 suite available for guests. 2 sitting rooms and a large dining room with free internet access, TV with DVD player, and a grand piano are all at your disposal to make for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is served from 7.30am till 10am. We also have a large garden with secure car parking, swimming pool, sauna and a holiday cottage available for longer stays.

The Mijanes'Host House, situated in a clearing, facing the cathar castle of Montségur, is the ideal place to rest, around its swimming pool, after a day of trekking or visiting cultural sites. Two big rooms and a huge converted barn with a traditional fireplace provide sleeping for 5 people. Meals can be provided too.

Pechine is a renovated farmhouse, in a large garden, situated in rolling countryside on a ridge with south facing views over the Leze valley to the Pyrenees .  It provides rural tranquillity but is well situated for easy access to the rest of the Ariege. Foix is a 20 minute drive and we are under 1 hr from Toulouse. You will get a warm welcome and a comfortable environment to relax in.

The house is tucked in the heart of the village of Ignaux, at 1000 m altitude, allowing friendly contact between vacationers and villagers both young and old. Far from noise and pollution, you'll be able to fully appreciate the tranquility that's only disturbed by the footsteps of a few hikers climbing the numerous walking trails that cross the village, on their way to or from the nearly Orlu natural reserve

We have the most magnificent scenery, from lakes to mountains and from fields to chateaux in abundance and our four bedroom chambres d'hotes is ideally situated in the Cathar countryside. You can come and relax, or walk to your hearts content, we have fishing nearby and a beautiful lake or two where you can relax. We are very centrally situated for all activites for a wonderful holiday, so why not come and visit the pretty village of Belesta where there is something to do all year round. You can also Ski nearby in the winter months at picturesque Mont D'Olmes.
