A traditional 'Maison Bourgeoise' in Ansac sur Vienne - a peaceful village on the banks of the River Vienne about 2.5km from the medieval town of Confolens near the centre of the triangle of Angouleme (40mins), Limoges(50mins) and Poitiers (1hr). Built in 1835 with gardens overlooking the 10 x 5m pool and childrens' play area. A delightful B&B with a Grand Double and 3 family suites, all with TV/DVD and en suite bathrooms.

The property is an elegant town house, built about the time of the French Revolution. It was added to in the 1930's by the Town Notaire who lived here with his family for most of the 20th century. The present owners have carefully restored and refreshed the house whilst installing modern comforts and facilities. As well as breakfast, dinner is also available on request, served with style in the 18th century Dining Room. The Salon is available for guests to enjoy as is a beautiful terraced garden. The town of Barbezieux has many attractions and is an ideal centre from which to explore Charente and the nearby coast.
