Five completely renovated guestrooms (B&B) in a 19th century Charentaise manoir, each with their own bathroom (B&B), at the edge of a small village in a peaceful area, a (heated) swimming pool terrace with an impressive view over a large valley, where one can enjoy the things that make life worthwhile. A few times a week we'll offer dinner at our table and you will be invited to join. Accompanied by a good glass of wine, naturally. We welcome our guests all year round.

Enjoy the charming reception in this 19th century gentleman’s house in the centre of Mornac sur Seudre, a village classified as one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France. The five guest rooms with their bathrooms ‘en suite’ promise you a comfortable night. In the morning you may savour a generous breakfast, depending the weather on the terrace or in the stylish decorated dining room, where the lady of the House will address you in fluent English. At two minutes walking distance you will find an ample choice of specialty restaurants around the Mediaeval harbour of this adorable fishermen’s village.

Newly renovated as a charming Bed & Breakfast, with spacious rooms of 36m2, each of the four have been tastefully decorated and have the original stone walls and fireplace features and their own independent entrances. Each room has an ensuite shower room, wc, towels, satellite television, armchairs and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers around the pool for its guests. Approached by a private drive lined with lavendar bushes, enter through the electric gates and you will find a peaceful haven to relax in the tranquility of the gardens. Karen will be happy to prepare you a private candlelit dinner at her elegant dining room table or out on the terrace. Le Four a Pain is 5 minutes from junction 34 of the A10 autoroute giving you easy access to discover the delights and architecture of this region. It is only 45 minutes from the lovely beaches at Royan, La Rochelle, Ile d'Orleron and Ile de Re and 15 minutes from the vinyards of Cognac and Saintes.
