Accomodation : One two bedroom suite for 4+2 persons, with shared shower room and separate lavatory. The typical Charentais farmhouse stands in a 13 acre stone walled garden. Within, the suite has been treated to offer the comfort of the 21th century in a traditional setting. According to season or weather, meals are served either under the garden arbour amidst cherry trees, fig trees and herb garden, or in the family farm kitchen, onthe solid oak table and benches, standing on a well worn centuries old tile floor. The village of Clavette is situated : 10 km from La Rochelle, 20km from Ile de Ré, 30km from l’Ile d’Aix, 30 km from Rochefort, 10 km from the sandy beaches of Chatelaillon, Aytré and La Rochelle. There is easy access to La Rochelle or Rochefort by train (TGV), plane, dual carriage ways and Motorways.

L'Abri des Hirondelles is nestled in a lovely and peaceful caracter property set in a quiet village close to La Rochelle, the coast and the islands. The bed and breakfast is for two people and comprises a lounge and a bedroom with separate toilet and shower room. Swimming pool, different patios, indoor and outdoor games and the table d'hôtes are available.

We are in the Poitou-Charentes region and more particularly in the Charente Maritime district. We invite you to visit our beautiful county in the South-West of France, near the Atlantic ocean. We benefit from an oceanic climate: genial in winter and not too hot in summer. The amount of sun is the best of the Atlantic coast.
