Laverune is a small village with a château, a museum, medieval remnants, a park and a playground, a gymnasium, tennis courts, football grounds, and equestrian centres. About five minutes walk to the countryside, bordered with vineyards…where you meet bulls, horses, pheasants, cocks, ducks and the like …to the background music of birds…or crickets! About ten minutes drive to Montpellier, a medieval town and university centre, famous for medical and agricultural institutions, yearly festivals (Printemps des comédiens, Festival de Radio France, Festival de danses, Festival de films méditerranéens…). About 15 minutes drive to the beaches, and just a bit more, to sea ports like Sète, resorts like Balaruc-les-Bains... To get here, leave the A9 and follow the sign to St Jean de Vedas centre, then to Laverune. Or, from the A75, follow the sign to Montpellier, then to Laverune. A few metres from the roundabout, heading towards the village, turn right (rue des aires), then left (impasse du vieux cyprés). Park car on the impasse or on the driveway. Enjoy the pleasant garden with a fresh breeze in summer under the shade of the old cypress trees or by the fishpond.
