Ideally placed just a few kilometres from the A20 motorway and only 3 hours from Paris and 45 minutes from Limoges airport, the Maison du Lac is an oasis of calm and tranquility in the heart of the beautiful Creuse valley. Famous for it’s connection with the author George Sand and renouned as the place where the impressionist painters holiday’d. Each room has been decorated in an individual style and has it’s own en-suite bathroom so as to provide total comfort and intimity. Martine and Frederic offer accomodation in the old village boarding house. Typical of the ‘Berrichonne’ style of house, and are sure that you will enjoy it’s the charm and tranquility. The small ‘priest’ garden with it’s shady terrace is simply super ! Subject to prior reservation, Martine will be happy to make up a light meal of fresh local produce on your arrival (providing it’s not too late!)

Pascal & Michel invite you to stay in the heart of Cluis, a picturesque little old town on the Compostella Trail, which has a way of life all of its own. They are keen that visitors become part of the home life of their house during their stay, which they try to make as unlike a hotel as possible. Visitors who wish to do so are welcome to join them for meals at their table; conviviality is an important part of their lifestyle.
