Our recently renovated accommodation, including solar powered hot water system, in Chigné is part of a traditional and ancient Fermette with exposed beams and wood-burning stove. We offer both self catering or B&B accommodation, comprising of an ensuite bedroomed gite, fully fitted kitchen / dining room, TV (Sky freeview channels) and off road parking with an outside seating area and BBQ facilities. Fresh, organic vegetables are available from the garden, and bicycles are available to tour the local area, and what is more, we are only 40 minutes or so from the 24 Hour racetrack at Le Mans. In the village there is a shop, friendly bar with a small restaurant, the 12th century church is open all the time to visitors, there are marked walks from the village and others from neighbouring villages and fishing is available in the village pond just over 100 metres from the garden gate, also there is a tennis court. By night the village is very quiet and is perfect to watch the galaxies in the unpolluted skies while sitting enjoying a glass or two of local wines.

A family property, “La Giraudière” is located in the region of Anjou, at La Tourlandry, 14 km from Cholet and 40 km from Angers, at the foot of Notre Dame des Gardes, the highest point of the Maine et Loire (216 m). The house stands in the middle of 7 hectares of grounds, offering many activities : swimming, pétanque, basket-ball, ping-pong, volley ball, badminton, bike riding… siesta. On accède à l'île par un pont et à notre maison par un chemin qui dessert 6 autres maisons. La notre, orientée Sud, est la dernière au bout de ce chemin qui mène au fleuve. Notre maison, en parti sur pilotis avec sa terrasse surélevée, regarde la Loire à 30 mètres de là. Nous avons restauré cette maison dans une démarche environnementale écologiqique.
