Our house is located in a large landscaped garden in a small village on the doorstep of a Natural Regional Park (Avesnois is the name of the area); we are next door to the historic market-town of Le Quesnoy famous for its 17th century city walls, and under 10 miles away from Valenciennes, the largest town in the neighbourhood. Many activities are available in the area, from golf or ULM to hiking, cycling and museum touring among others).

Watten is located at the borders of the maritime plain, halfway between Bourbourg and Saint-Omer. Not far from the abbey tower, the windmill of the Mountain rises. In the history, the city was illustrated by a flourishing industry of tilery, of weaving of jute, building site of boats.

From our rooms you can see a little street of the village or the garden. Each of them has its own bathroom (with shower and WC) and a TV. Room decoration was done by the owners inspirating by the historical character of the place. Furniture was found in antiquities store.
