A quality homestay/guest house in a seventeenth century  manor house situated close to Pau and Orthez in south west France. Between the mountains & the sea, Fritz KISBY & Mike RIDOUT have made their home in this historic residence called 'Domaine de la Carrère' dating from the 17th century. It has been lived in by nobles, merchants and traders and was built during the reign of Louis XIV le Grand or le Roi-Soleil - the Sun King. They will make you welcome, but at the same time will respect your privacy. There are just five en-suite bedrooms for guests in the whole of the property. Jonathan and Kate have carefully restored their beautiful « maison de maître” which lies at the heart of a small village close to Navarrenx. The four large bedrooms, each with their own en suite spacious bathroom ( shower, bath and WC) are furnished with an eclectic mix of antique furniture and objects they have found on their travels round the world. Next to the house there is a pretty flower garden, orchard and a pool surrounded by a walled Mediterranean garden. In the house there is a music room, sitting room with an original open fireplace, wifi connection and flat screen TV in each room, bicycles, billiards, table tennis: everything designed to ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay in this magnificent character property. Unforgettable breakfasts! We are one hour to the mountains and ski slopes and one hour to the sea and the beach.

In the heart of Chalosse, Anne and Robert welcome you in their farm of the 17th century comfortably renewed. Our house is situated near the village and the main businesses. In a park raised of 6000m ², you go to relax at the edge of the swimming pool (12 x 5,5 m) and to take advantage completely of the peace and the charm of the campaign from the Landes. Our three rooms carefully decorated possess private toilets and hairdryer. You can feast on our copious breakfasts.

We offer you 2 lovely ensuite bedrooms, a large living-room, and a nice conservatory with a large view on a park and its numerous mature trees, and the swimming-pool. You can also have group in form of gite, that is 2 ensuite bedrooms, a common room with another 2 place bed, living-room, kitchen, the whole on more than 70 m², for 6 persons in the maximun.

Cette maison de maître du 18ème siècle est située dans un petit village pittoresque, le plus haut perché des Landes (135m), dominant d'un côté, la vallée des gaves et de l'autre côté la plaine des Landes jusqu'à la mer.
