This charming and well-equipped small flat is perfect for two people (plus a baby). It is ideally situated near the Loire river, only a 10-minute walk to the city center and a 20-minute walk to the station. Located on the ground floor of a medieval house, it offers independence and includes a terrace and BBQ in the yard. The area is very peaceful and a free car park is conveniently nearby. This flat is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Loire Valley and enjoying cycling. Bikes are available for short stays. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area, including visiting the famous Loire Valley castles, exploring the Loire bike track, and indulging in the delicious Loire Valley wines (with the nearest vineyards just 2km away, within walking distance!).

Explore the charming city of Tours on foot, just steps away from our accommodation. Cross the famous "Pont de fil" (suspended bridge), exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists, and indulge in the breathtaking views at dawn or sunset. Discover the delights of "the old Tours," including shops, restaurants, and the magnificent cathedral, all within a short ten-minute walk. The train station is also easily accessible on foot, taking only 20 minutes. If you have heavy luggage, don't worry, we are happy to provide transportation.

Our cozy and comfortable basement flat, located in a historic Tuffeau house with charming exposed beams, faces south and offers a private terrace in the courtyard. The kitchen is separate from the bedroom/living room, and the high-quality convertible sofa (2016) provides ample space for relaxation or even dancing to your favorite tunes on the hi-fi system. Bed linen, towels, and teatowels are available at an additional cost of six euros per person per stay.

The bathroom is well-equipped to meet all your needs, and the fitted kitchen ensures convenience during your stay. Families with babies and young children are welcome, as we provide a bed, chair, and crockery. Stay connected with internet access and make use of the provided mobile phone if needed. Enjoy cable TV with a range of international channels in addition to French ones. A large car park, bus stop, shops, cafes, and restaurants are all just a minute away.

Located in a historic neighborhood by the Loire, you can easily access the "Loire à vélo" cycle track for leisurely bike rides or enjoy jogging and relaxing in the nearby park with tennis grounds. If we are available, we would be delighted to welcome you with a glass of the famous local sparkling wine, VOUVRAY, and if you're lucky, perhaps even offer the opportunity to unwind in our jacuzzi.

Bikes are available free of charge for exploring the city, and you will have access to a designated area for bikes and garden furniture, as well as a washing machine. I am always here to assist you, whether you need advice on renting a car, special recommendations, or assistance with your visits. For a small fee, you can also enjoy a jacuzzi experience at my place and have the chance to chat and relax with us, if we are around and available.

Immerse yourself in the captivating historical environment of Tours, with its medieval houses, quaint lanes, troglodyte dwellings, and even the cave-like setting of your own accommodation. Discover the local grocer, baker, butcher, newsagents, and the delightful footbridge that allows you to cross the majestic LOIRE river.

Public transportation is easily accessible, with a bus stop just 100 meters away. Direct bus number 17 provides convenient transportation to and from the train station and city center. Additionally, a 12-minute walk will take you to the tramway, offering another option to reach the city center and train station. If available, I am happy to pick you up from the bus/train station, tram stop, or airport. Multiple car parking options are available, mostly free of charge, within a maximum distance of 200 meters.

Directions

I can assist you with the directions and provide a document to guide you. In case you are arriving by plane, we will be able to pick you up from the airport if we are in the vicinity. However, if you are coming by train, it's a simple 20-minute walk or you can take a direct bus, making it extremely convenient.
