Surroundings:
20 km (13 miles) from Brive you enter the medival town of Terrasson; located at the river Vezere. Cublac is located attached to Terrasson at a distance of /- 2,5 km (1.5 mile). In Terrasson you will find all the shops you need. There are 5 big supermarkets and many restaurants; in the old and the new part. At 20 km ( 13 miles) from Cublac you will find the village of Montignac, wellknown from the Caves of Lascaux; the first caves where they found drawings of the prehistoric human being. At 40 km ( 26 miles) distance from Cublac you will find the main city of Dordogne: Sarlat, a medival city known for its atmosphere, food , small old streets, marketplaces and nice shops. Large weekly market in Terrasson.

Leisure
Walking & hiking: At a short distance of the house there are some beautiful walkingtrails, which vary in length between 4 and 14 miles. Terrasson also has 2 nice (steep) trails starting at the medieval bridge varying from 4 to 9 miles. Terrasson also has the beautiful garden Les Jardins de l'Imaginaire.
Cycling: For mountainbikers a eldorado. Ordinary cycling is nice in the valley.
Canoe and Kayak: In Terrasson (1ml) or Montignac (12mls). Golf: The place to be - there are 6 golfcourses within a range of 35 miles. In the river: fishing.
Terrasson has a large public swimming pool and large practice area for mountainbikers and skateboarders. Visit the famous gardens les jardins de l'Imaginaire.
Flora and fauna: directly outside the house you encounter deer, boars, strange frogs and other species we are not familar with. Also you find the most beautiful plants.
