Complete Property Description:

We have a large kitchen diner which opens to the garden at the back of the house. We can accommodate up to 8-10 persons in the bright cheerful rooms.
On the first floor we have a double bedroom which overlooks the garden and we also have a twin bedroom, which is light and airy with a balcony to the front of the house, and in this bedroom there is also a double bed settee, so this room can comfortably suit 4 persons. On this floor there is also a shower room with w/c.
On the 2nd floor, we have two large bedrooms, one with three singles and one with two singles, and again a shower room withw/c.
All the rooms are freshly decorated and are a good size .
Breakfast can be in the garden, weather permitting otherwise in the dining room, which again is a good size.
There is plenty of room in the garden, and we have umbrellas and tables and chairs etc, and a bbq nad we have games etc to keep everyone amused whilst they enjoy their holiday. For large parties of 8-10 persons we can let the house for self catering, prices on request.

Attractions & Facilities

We nhave the lovely Lac Montbel just 20 mins away and also the lake at Puivert.
We have more castles, chateaux etc than you can mention, perhaps the most famous ones are Montsegur, Roxifixade, Foix, Carcassonne, etc.etc.
There is a Prehistoric Park at Tarascon.
Underground river trip at Foix.

lots of bygone crafts, etc.
Chateau des Comtes de Foix, showing everyday life in the middle ages.
Fontesorbes intermittent fountain just outside Belesta.(It stops about every 20 seconds so you can walk across it, and believe it or not, 1800 litres a second passes over the rocks!
We have famous Mirepoix just 25 mins away, the lovely villages of Camon, Chalabre, Leran, and just too many to mention all within easy reach.
Andorra is only 90 mins away and Spain about 2 hours away. So much to do, you will love every minute.
We are on the Route of the Cathars too and the Da Vinci Code site is near here too. Come and see for your self.

Directions

We are easily accessed from Toulouse, Carcassonne or Perpignan Airports, although Carcassonne is the easiest with cheap Ryanair flights. We are located on the main D117 Foix to Perpignan Road, between Lavelanet and Puivert so we are really easy to find. As you come into Belesta from Lavelanet, you will see the Credit Agricole Bank on your right and we are about 100 metres along from there on the right. Just look for the yellow fronted house with the flowers on the balcony and you will find us. If you need more precise information we can send a specific e mail to you with complete directions.
