Complete Property Description:

Domaine de Maran is located between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea in the heart of the Languedoc region, famous for its cultural heritage and wine-growing. The Cité de Carcassonne (the fortified medieval gallo-roman castle town) and the Canal du Midi, both registred landmarks under the UNESCO world heritage sites, are just 4 km away.

The Abbeys of Fontfroide, Lagrasse and Saint Hilaire are close to the estate. The vineyards of the Corbieres and Minervois dominate the area, while highlighting the famous cathar castles. In 2005, a wine from Minervois was awarded as "The Best Wine in the World" !!
Domaine de Maran is an ancient family wine estate. The main building was rebuilt at the beginning of the XIXth century on a site inhabited since the XIIIth century.

The estate offers two bed and breakfast rooms. You arrive through a two hectare park, where you can hear the song of the cicadas sheltered in the hundred-year-old Mediterranean trees while the walkways, swimming-pool, ornamental lake and rose garden will catch your eyes....

Golfers will be happy to know that our 40 hectares estate adjoins the magnificient 18 holes golf course of Carcassonne.
Gourmets will appreciate seven Michelin-stared restaurants nearby and one 3 star restaurant within easy driving distance.
2 rooms for 2 people per room.We do not accept a third person in the bedrooms (baby, child or adult).

FROM THE MOTORWAY :
-Exit N°23 "CARCASSONNE-OUEST" on the motorway "Autoroute des Deux Mers" (A 61).

-Direction "CARCASSONNE" and after "SAINT HILAIRE" (D 104).

-Pass the golf course, the garage "Dyneff", ignore the next lane 300m on your left, where it is written "Domaine de Maran", and turn 30m further on your left (white gate).

-Distance toll motorway - Domaine de Maran : 5kms.

FROM THE AIRPORT :

-Leaving the airport, take right and at the roundabout return direction CARCASSONNE.

-Turn right at the first exit, direction "AUTOROUTE A61"

-At the first roundabout (the one of the motorway), direction "CARCASSONNE" and after "SAINT HILAIRE" (D104).

--Pass the golf course, the garage "Dyneff", ignore the next lane 300m on your left, where it is written "Domaine de Maran", and turn 30m further on your left (white gate).
