Welcome to "Au fil de l'eau," our charming 17th-century cottage that has been completely renovated. Located just a few kilometers away from the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Carcassonne and Canal du Midi, our enchanting gite offers a truly magical experience.Nestled at the entrance of Montolieu, a picturesque book village, and situated by the river, this character-filled cottage is the perfect retreat. The living/dining room boasts a cozy fireplace and a comfortable sofa bed, while the fully equipped kitchen features a beautifully carved stone vault and a large bay window opening onto a sunny terrace. From this terrace, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the river and the garden, spanning 30m2.
Inside, you will find two double bedrooms, one with a 1m60 bed and the other with a 1m40 bed. The bathroom is adorned with an antique bath, an Italian shower, and a WC. For your convenience, we offer free WIFI connection, a barbecue on the terrace, and access to our swimming pool and boules balls. As an added bonus, you can even try your hand at trout fishing right on the premises.
If you're looking for more recreational activities, the municipal swimming pool and tennis courts are just 1km away. Additionally, shops and restaurants are conveniently located only 300m from the cottage.

Je conseille vivement de passer des vacances chez Sabine et Bart. La maison est atypique. La terrasse est enivrante. La nature est exceptionnelle.
Sabine nous reçoit à merveille. Tout est prêt dès notre arrivée. Pour bien commencer les vacances, elle nous reçoit avec une petite attention. Sabine est toujours à l'écoute pour trouver une solution (location de voiture) et propose des activités intéressantes.

Directions
To travel from Carcassonne to Toulouse, take the RN113 road and pass through Pezens. Once in Pezens, make a right turn towards Moussoulens. At the roundabout in Moussoulens, continue in the direction of Montolieu. Upon reaching Montolieu, follow the signs for Alzonne. The house you seek is located a short distance ahead, before the bridge, on the left side.
