The National park of Mercantour is a paradise for hikers.Through the numerous well marked paths you can discover a wild, secret and unspoilt nature: deep and mysterious larches forests , abrupt rocky peaks, deep blue mountain lakes, unforgettable landscapes where live in peace ibexes, chamois and marmots.

Directions

Either by Barcelonnette and then the "Col de la Cayolle".

The "Col de la Cayolle" is closed in winter and often until spring.Watch out: caravans are not allowed. Superb itinary but can be tiring after a long trip.

Or by Nice or Digne: leave the National Road 202 at the "Pont de Gueydan" crossing, and take the Departmental Road 2202 to Guillaumes. Saint-Martin-d'Entraunes is located on the D.R 2202, 12 km north of Guillaumes.

"Le Prieuré" is located 2 km from the village, on the other side of the Var River.
