Complete Property Description:

The Gite is one of a group of buildings at the centre of the village of Fa, opposite the beautifully restored church. Unusually for a central village setting the property has substantial grounds (totalling around a hectare) which allows for plenty of space to spread out and relax whilst still benefitting from being in the centre of village life! There is a very pleasant local cafe which doubles as the ´depot du pain´ in the mornings. Croissants and bread can be ordered here, or alternatively bought from the mobile bread van which arrives at 8.15 each morning just outside the gates, in the village square.



The gite is a bright, light and airy villa providing accommodation all on one level. There is a private barbeque terrace to the front, a small terrace to the side, private parking and a private lawned area which leads to the larger grounds where the pool and pool house are to be found.

There are three double bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 twin, with two further fold out beds available if needed. Shower room with WC and a further, seperate WC. Large living room with colour TV and DVD player. (We have a large library of DVD´s should wish to borrow some). A spacious and well equiped kitchen: microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, fan oven, gas hob. The bookshelves are stocked with books and games for your amusement as well as information on local places of interest and maps.

Our newly installed 10m x 4.5m solar heated swimming pool is situated in the larger grounds of the property. Surrounded by a sun trap patio and walled and fenced for security, there are tables, chairs and sunloungers at your disposal. The pool house provides a changing area and shower room and WC. There is WI-FI available around the pool, so you can check those emails from the poolside!

You are welcome to use the gardens whenever you wish. There are usually badminton and volleyball nets up, as well as football goals and cricket stumps! We have rackets and balls for you to use if you wish. The grounds are quite large and so landscaping is on-going, some areas are more ´natural´ than others and we do occasionally borrow a neighbours goats to help with keeping nature at bay. At the right times of the year you will be able to pick your own strawberries, raspberries, grapes, apricots, peaches, plums and pears from the gardens, and hopefully we will have some hens laying fresh eggs for breakfast.(Our last ones flew to freedom!)
