Complete Property Description:

Il Monticello is a privately owned stone villa full of charm and character situated on the Plascassier hill near Grasse, the world capital of perfume, about 20 minutes from the international airport of Nice, and some 15 minutes from Cannes. The villa has three comfortable bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and a terrace. The welcome is warm and the atmosphere friendly. The villa is surrounded by a large Provencal garden with plenty of flowers and shade, offering a beautiful view, a large swimming pool and a private parking. The calm is absolute yet everything is within reach: 7 golf courses, tennis, horse riding, shops, railway station, etc. High tech is not missing: broadband access to the Internet (ADSL) is available via a wireless LAN (WiFi). English and German spoken. Rates : from 75to 110 euros (depending on season) per night and per room, continental breakfast included.

Directions

How to get to the villa from the A8 toll way:
Exit the A8 toll way at junction 42 while following the sign CANNES-CENTRE, MOUANS-SARTOUX, MOUGINS, LE CANNET, GRASSE. Take the N85 (also known as LA PENETRANTE) direction GRASSE. Leave the N85 at the MOUANS-SARTOUX exit. When on the exit roundabout, turn right on the first street (ROUTE DE LA ROQUETTE), direction MOUANS-SARTOUX. Carry on this street. At the end of the street there are traffic lights, and a MAC DONALD on your right. Turn left (N2085/AVENUE DE CANNES). Carry on this street, go past a tiny roundabout (located right after the LA STRADA movie theatre), then turn right at the next traffic lights (Avenue MARCEL JOUMET). Carry on until you cross a railway. Turn left immediately after the railway and take the D404, direction PLASCASSIER and VALBONNE. Just after the second curve (you are leaving MOUANS-SARTOUX and going past the city limits sign), there is a small concrete lane separator in the middle of the road. Turn left there, on CHEMIN DU PLAN. After 1.5 km, the name of the street changes to CHEMIN DU COLLET DE ST MARC. Carry on until you reach number 77 on your right (just after a hangar/shed on the left of the road). Take the lane and drive up all the way (200 meters). Our house is an old stone house at the end of the lane, on the left side.

Making email arrangements was made easy by Gucky and Patrice. Our hosts warmly welcomed our family of six adults into their beautiful home. Between two agendas of intense traveling and exploring we were very much in need of a place to "kick back" (put up your feet). Yes! Wow! This couple was sensitive and intuitive about our particular needs and we are grateful for their help and generosity in accommodating our family (2 adults, 4 adult children)The home is beautiful, clean and roomy, the croissants were fresh daily, the table was elegant, the gardens are inviting and the surrounding area is beautiful for viewing and walking. We'd love to come back some day.....
