La Ferme Manoir Saint Barthelemy 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Stephen Earl, Jun 24 2008 8:14AM

This pleasant 12th century farmhouse is approximately 10 minutes drive south of Bayueax. A peaceful and relaxing location in the quiet Normandy countryside usefully situated for visiting the historic towns of Bayeaux, Caen and also the sites of the Normandy landings. The accommodation is well appointed subtly combining the traditional building with modern comforts. Dining at the Host's Table cannot be missed. It presents and an excellent opportunity to experience local food and drink expertly prepared and presented by our charming and knowlegeable hostess, Madame Patricia Saunier. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed and provides one with the opportunity of conversing with the other patrons which serves to compliment the fine fare. Patricia and Frederic are warm and welcoming hosts who go out of their way to ensure your stay is a memorable and pleasant one. Highly recommended.
