My cousin and I absolutely loved everything about our visit. It is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Matt is so thoughtful. We loved his dog Bob as well! Our dinner was the best we had in the two weeks that we toured France. We would have loved to stay longer.

Reluctant Review

I was very reluctant to write a review for Chaillac Bed & Breakfast as I think that places like this should stay Well Kept Secrets ;-) Matthew has done such a great job and deserves the best compliments. A unique area, with a beautiful house, clean, hospitable and relaxing. If you are looking for a tasteful, unique and re-energising break, relaxing in the courtyard or in the lounge or gaining calories because it will be difficult to resist to Matthews home made jams, or 3 course dinners. If you feel more active then Matthew will give you all the information you need to explore the amazing surrounding

The first time we stayed at Chaillac BNB was for 1 night on the way south. We have now stayed many times - each time for longer! Matthew is a wonderful hosts, and does everything to make their guests welcome and happy. The food is superb, the atmosphere could not be friendlier, and the rooms comfortable with every thing you need.

Review by: Robert Fox, Sep 17 2012 7:01PM
This beautiful, warm and comfortable Chambre d'hote instantly gives you a warm and relaxed feeling. Matthew and his side kick Bob the dog greeted us with drinks and a friendly chat before showing us to our charming room. We had a great evening dining with another couple on their way back to England and our host could not be faulted. The food and drink was plentiful and very tasty.followed by a relaxing night sleep and a great breakfast the following morning. We look forward to going back and hopefully staying a little bit longer to enjoy exploring the local area.

Great B&B

We did quite literally stumble upon Chaillac Bed and Breakfast, we had spent the day fishing on the lake at Chaillac, the fish were not biting and we decided to wander into the village in search of refreshment, on our way we passed Chaillac B&B, tucked away down a narrow lane, a typical French village house, very pretty and quaint. The door was wide open, Bob was outside dozing peacefully, everything looked so appealing we decided to ask if they had availability. We spent two days at Chaillac and they were the best two days of our holiday, the rooms are excellent, Matthew is the perfect host and made us feel very welcome. Evenings were spent drinking beer in the courtyard, chatting to our fellow guests and watching Matthew whip up a splendid meal for us all. We highly recommend Chaillac to anyone who is looking for a base from which to explore this delightful region of France. Comfortable rooms, great food and good company what more do you need?? Sadly the fishing was not so good!
