The Best B&B in Dordogne, Maybe the World!
My wife Maureen and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary in Dordogne. We stayed for the week of September 8 -- 14, 2014 at Domaine des Mathieves. It was everything that we had hoped for and then some, starting with our wonderful hosts, Philippe and Dominique Ransom. Charming and delightful, most helpful and Madame is the best chef in Dordogne! We dined twice at the B&B and they were two of the best meals that we had in France, including in Paris. The facilities are superb. They are charming, clean, comfortable and a real delight to return to each evening. There are not enough stars in the Michelin to rate this wonderful facility. We absolutely recommend it and are looking forward to our return trip.
