Appréciations pour Le Brécy B&b Rouen Vallée De Seine, Rouen-saint Martin De Boscherville:

Wonderful trip
Review by: Jerome, Mai 27 2018 7:40PM
We enjoyed our trip to our nephews wedding in Paris, and especially enjoyed our stay with Patricia and Jerome at Le Brecy in the French countryside. The accommodations were tranquil and steeped in beauty and comfort. Our hosts were friendly and hospitable as well as very kind and supportive in listening to our attempts at the French language. They made us a wonderful French country meal and every day a French breakfast was provided. The area is what you would imagine the French countryside to look like and they provided us with ample information and brochures about the places to visit in the area. We hope to stay there again on our next visit and asked for an informational card so we could give them to our family and friends. Our thanks to them for a wonderful stay.

From start to fiish a fabuoous visite at Le Brécy, home of Patricia and Jérôme. The hosts are welcoming, warm, and friendly. Their home, in a quiet Hamlet near Rouen, is lovely and exceptionally clean. Patricia provided us with an excellent breakfast with home-made baked goods and delicious french coffee. We had a great visit and hope to return again to Le Brécy. The bed and bedding were lucious. Thank you so much. We are off to the abbey.

Un petit château par excellence

“Un petit chateau par excellence”
Le Brecy is not your average B&B. This is a family chateau of traditional elegance and grace where the quality is exceptional and the hospitality without fault. We only stayed one night and wished we'd booked for longer. We thoroughly recommend this delightful retreat.

Patricia Lanquest, the elegant chatelaine of Le Brecy, welcomed us to her charming chateau in the quiet village of St Martin de Boscherville. We were given her grand-mere's apartment complete with antique furniture and vitrines full of beautiful ceramics. The bedroom was very comfortable with pretty nightstands, ornamentation, and handsome chairs. We had our own little sitting room with a gorgeous writing desk, full of information about the area, and a small kitchen behind a screen providing for any extra needs. Breakfast included Patricia's own preserves and all were served in a wonderful dining room with lovely tableware. Furnishings and fabrics were of the highest quality from the beautiful curtains to the bed headboards.

Off the beaten track, Le Brecy is situated on the edge of the village with its own home farm attached. St Martin de Boscherville was an unexpected pleasure not least for its superb Romanesque abbey and beautifully restored potager garden of herb beds and fruit trees, a project for which the Lanquests have been personally responsible and continue to be involved with. The village is a smart residential area for people working in Rouen (only 16 km away), and set in a very attractive part of the Normandy countryside where the River Seine loops in deep meanders towards the sea and you can take little car ferries (free of charge) across the river which adds to the charm. There are good restaurants nearby and the village has a good butcher and boulangeris, and a good pharmacy. The bookshop at the abbey has an excellent selection of historical and children's books in English as well as French.

Le Brecy was a real find and a rare glimpse of traditional French hospitality at its best.

Astuce pour la chambre : You don't need a tip. The rooms are gorgeous.
