Description of Gite de La Roseraie Bed & Breakfast:

At the heart of the Vallée de Chevreuse, about 40 km from Paris, 20 km from Versailles and 10 km from Rambouillet, Cernay la Ville is a beautiful little village, famous for its picturesque Vaux de Cernay setting with its waterfalls and historic abbey and for the « Cernay artists school » founded by the landscape painter Léon Germain Pelouse.


Located in the Rambouillet forest, part of this exceptional environment, is the Hamlet of Saint Robert, where we offer you our hospitality in our spacious studio (40m2) sleeping to 2/3 people, and where you can enjoy rest and relaxation in our magnificient garden (12000m2). In spring, you will be able to admire our roses (more than one hundred varieties) and in september you can hear the stags rutting.


Why not cycle along pretty side roads and, if the mood takes you, you can use the new cycle lane to the town of Rambouillet.


We are always ready to inform you of the wealth of discoveries you can make in our region. You might like to visit several of the local châteaux (Dampierre, Chevreuse, Saint-Forget, Choisel, Rambouillet, Versailles), Vaux de Cernay abbey and Port Royal abbey, Coubertin Foundation and Coubertin farm at Saint Rémy les Chevreuse, l'Espace Rambouillet (wild life park) and la Bergerie Nationale (sheep farm and park) at Rambouillet, or Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon's house at Saint Arnoult.


We are also close to the Saclay plateau scientific centre, the Orsay university and research centre and Saint Quentin en Yvelines technology hub.
