It includes Apartment Lézard (Sleeps 2/4. 1 Bedroom ) and Maison La Montagne (Sleeps 4/6. 2 Bedrooms) Two-thousand-metre Pyrenean peaks rise above the village in a region rich in fascinating Cathar culture, Romanesque castles, impressive show caves and inexhaustible history. There is much on offer for anyone who enjoys hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, cycling, canoeing, caving, fishing, skiing, snow shoeing and dog-sledging – all within ten to twenty minutes of us. Nearby Thermal spas offer the perfect chance to relax. On site we have a large number of guidebooks, maps and local info to help you get the most from your stay. The is plenty for kids, including a prehistoric park, wolf park, llama farm and lakes with sandy beaches for swimming. Local markets at Tarascon and Les Cabannes offer a great chance to sample local produce and crafts. Whether you want to explore the mountains, or just relax by the pool, we’ll make every effort to make sure you have a great time!

Kitchen / diner with a blend of traditional exposed beams and wooden floors with all the facilities you would expect in a modern kitchen, including gas hob, oven and grill, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, cafetière, crockery and cutlery, dining table and 4 chairs.
Television, DVD player, amplifier and speakers, local area information. Sofa converts to a double bed for additional accommodation.

Attractions:

Outside We have a large oval above-ground pool (24x12ft ) in 1500m2 of garden and grounds, with a mix of wild flowers and fruit trees including pear, fig, elderflower and walnut trees, open spring to autumn. There’s a charming seating or lounging area around the pool and a shady ‘den’ area with mattresses and cushions ideal for reading or as a play area for children. Coast/Beach The Mediterranean Coast is about two and a half hours drive. There are many wonderful resorts within reach, from Narbonne to Perpignan. Mountain swimming lakes can be found nearby, some with beaches. Skiing The cross country ski resort of Plateau de Beille (1,800m+) is 15 minutes away; it is one of the most extensive in France and also offers snow shoeing trails and dog-sled rides. For downhill skiing and snowboarding Ax-les-Thermes (1,400m-2,400m) is 20 minutes by car and offers 75km of pistes as well as off-piste opportunities. The cable car and some lifts are open in the summer so that visitors can enjoy local walks with magnificent views of the mountains and downhill mountain bikers can enjoy the specially prepared VTT trails. Andorra resorts are 45 minutes away. Directions to Mne Anne Arran

When driving here take the N20 to Andorra from Tarascon sur Ariege. Drive past the grotte de Lombrives and look for a turning on the left to Ariege \Evasion camping and Ornolac Ussat les Bains. Take this and cross the railway. When you get to the t junction gp left following signs for Ariege evasion. Go past this up the hill and after 2 bends you will be in the square of Barry d’en bas. Park in the town square of Barry d'en Bas. You will see a house with 1897 on it. Walk up hill for 30 seconds and you see a little road on your left called Quartier de Bacquie. Infront of you, you see Chez Arran with 2 metal lizards on the wall. The apartment door is the one on the left of the double French doors.
