Description of La Vayssade Bed & Breakfast:

La Vayssade is a family owned property since four generations.

At the edge of Lalbenque, this harmonious whole of buildings typical from Quercy is set up on a 10 hectares truffle oaks, richness from the Causse showing here and there on the surface.

The Guest House, our own house, take place in the monumental barn remarkably restored combining modern and old tradition construction. Architect : Michel Montal at Cahors.

You will be seduced by the customization of the premises, fancy decoration, all embracing living room, modern chimney, the open kitchen…

Everything is for an unforgettable stay Joelle, Hélène, Pierre and Emmanuel will make you discover the region and the local cuisine and original recipes.

In summer the terrace under the arbor, the park, the garden, the pool and beach are available.

6 bikes are at your disposal free of charge (booking and deposit).

For other seasons the house is equipped with central heating and fireplace will be an opportunity to enhance social evenings.
Winter is also an opportunity to discover the secrets of the Black Diamond in a Weekend Truffle (Table d'hotes with Truffle specialities, Slideshow, truffle search and the famous Market Lalbenque truffles are program).


Lalbenque is at the core place of the Parc Naturel des Causses du Quercy, where many walking path pieds, and bike trails… will get you into a wild nature and through the Causses du Quercy into the charming places of Laburgade and its well trail, the lavoir of Aujols, the Renaissance castle of Cieurac or Cénevières, the Phosphatières of Cloup d’Aural or the renowned caves of Pech Merle, the vineyard of de Haute-Serre, Les Hauts de Saint Georges, the path of St Jacques de Compostelle (GR65), the village of St Cirq Lapopie, the very nice town of Cahors, his secret gardens and many other places….… As you feel…. You can practice many other sports. Two tennis courts are at your disposal in Lalbenque, skydiving at the airfield of Cahors-Lalbenque, canoe kayak on the Célé river, boat cruise in the Lot Valley, horseriding in Belfort du Quercy, golf at the Roucous in Castelnaud Montratier.… All museums in Midi Pyrénées… La Vayssade can be a departure to explore the prestigious sites further ahead such as, Rocamadour, the the caves of Padirac, Figeac, or in the nearby departments, Sarlat, Conques, the Gorges de l’Aveyron, Moissac, and many other nice places in Midi Pyrénées… Yet we are lucky to be only at 6 km from the highway A20 (exit N°58). And of course for your convenience and comfort, as in every nice areas of France evening will end up around the Table d’Hôtes. The opportunity for you to taste the local speciality, vines of Cahors and from Coteaux du Quercy.

From A20 highway, exit N°58 “Cahors Villefranche de Rouergue”.
Straight after the toll, turn right and drive 6 km ahead.

From the main street, the truffle market street :
- take the street and turn around the post office,
- drive 50 meters, then turn left,
- drive 100 meters, turn right « chemin de la Vayssade »
- follow 300 meters and turn left, then follow the box trees alley N°205.
