Description for Gite

Our beautiful ballroom has a seating capacity of up to 45 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide range of cutlery and serving dishes, including a gas stove with four burners and an electric oven. Additional appliances include a microwave, a coffee maker, a professional-grade coffee machine, and a dishwasher. As an added bonus, guests also have access to a refreshing pool.

Ma compagne et moi avons réservé le 10 août 2019 une chambre à l'établissement "Les Hôtes de Labastide" pour un court séjour du 15 au 18 août, notre seule pause de l'été. Nous avons réservé un peu au dernier moment sur le site Booking.com que nous utilisons souvent.

Après réception de la confirmation par Booking.com, nous avons été contactés directement par téléphone par le prétendu gérant, avec une demande expresse de régler d'avance, sans quoi nous perdions la chambre. La raison exposée est que certaines personnes annulent au dernier moment, sachant pourtant que la réservation (Booking.com n°3429370627) comportait des frais d'annulation élevés (124 pour un total de 180) qui protégeaient largement l'établissement.
Comme cela constituait un double paiement, j'ai demandé au l'annulation de la réservation Booking.com sans frais. L'établissement l'a autorisée et a fourni un RIB au nom d'un particulier pour le versement.
Le 11 août nous avons cherché à faire le lien entre ce particulier et l'établissement avant de payer, en vain. Nous avons demandé plus de détails, l'établissement a répondu par mail "vous ne trouverez jamais une chambre d'hôtes enregistrée comme une société" et nous a demandé d'aller "réserver ailleurs". Il semble pourtant que l'enregistrement au registre du commerce d'un loueur habituel qui propose plusieurs chambres est obligatoire, mais je ne suis pas spécialiste.
Bref face à ce "flou artistique" nous avons cherché ailleurs et heureusement, malgré deux jours perdus et du stress, nous avons trouvé un endroit sympa ou passer nos mini-vacances. Je fais part de cette déconvenue sans juger. Je n'ai pas compris la vraie raison de la demande d'annulation. Je n'ai pas non plus d'information sur la prestation elle-même qui est peut-être de qualité, ou pas, mais nous ne souhaitons assurément jamais le savoir.
