* If you are coming from Annecy, drive along the eastern shore of the lake and pass through Annecy-le-Vieux, Veyrier du Lac, and Menthon St Bernard. Once you reach Echarvines, take the D42 road towards Col de la Forclaz / Montmin just before entering Talloires. Drive past Vérel and cross Col de la Forclaz and Montmin Chef-Lieu. After 500 m from Montmin Chef-Lieu, you will see a small road on the corner of Ferriere hamlet, take that road in the opposite direction towards Montmin Plan.

* If you are coming from Ugine / Albertville, follow the signs for Annecy. Go around Faverges Marlens and stay on the D1508 road, which temporarily becomes a 4-way. At the second roundabout after the end of the 4-way, take the D42 road (1st exit) towards Montmin / Col de la Forclaz. Drive through Vesonne and start the ascent to Montmin. In the hamlet of La Ferriere, take the small road on the right that leads to a hairpin turn towards Plan Montmin.

* Once you are on the communal route to Plan Montmin, continue driving for 1.5 km until you reach the top village of Plan Montmin. Keep going through the village and you will reach the bottom of Plan Montmin, which is 100 m away. The Chavane is the first house on the left side, located in front of a meadow with a small chalet standing at its edge.
