Description for Gite

Gite in the Garden

Situated in the charming town of Meilhan sur Garonne, halfway between Bordeaux and Agen (45 minutes), this gite is a converted tobacco dryer attached to the owner's house. Surrounded by a beautiful flower garden, it offers a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. With direct access to the canal, there are plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling (bicycles available for loan), or canoeing.

Ideal for accommodating 6 people, with the possibility of extending to 6/8 people with an additional bed. We also welcome cyclists, as there is a greenway along the canal.

The gite itself is 84 square meters in size, with a spacious wooden terrace of 20 square meters. It features one large bedroom with a canopy double bed (160x200) and another bedroom with a double bed and a mezzanine with two single beds. Additionally, there are two private bathrooms with walk-in showers, a separate toilet, a living room, and a well-equipped kitchen (including a gas burner, oven, coffee maker, kettle, and fridge). The gite also provides a sink, shower, toilet, hairdryer, heating, a sofa, and a furnished terrace.

Smoking is not permitted in the house.

Nearby attractions include the municipal pool in Meilhan sur Garonne, the "Gens de Garonne" scenography in Couthures sur Garonne, canoeing at Spa Canoe Hure, golfing, tree climbing, and an ornamental lake in Casteljaloux. Marmande offers a golf course, airport, cinema, restaurants, a museum, and a cloister. Horseback riding is available in the surrounding area. You can also enjoy walks along the Canal de la Garonne by foot, bike, or boat, and there are various sports facilities around Lake Beaupuy. Lastly, don't miss the opportunity to visit the nearby vineyards in Beaupuy, Duras, and St Emilion.

accueillant et reposant

Quel endroit délicieux !
Nous y avons passé un moment paisible, au cur de la nature et fait une si belle promenade le long du canal.
Nos hôtes, charmants et discrets, nous ont bien orientés pour découvrir la région.
