Welcome to Mirabelle Bed and Breakfast with a charming cottage nestled in the picturesque Dordogne region, just a stone's throw away from the enchanting Hautefort and its fairytale chateau, as well as the captivating Tourtoirac Cave.

Our cottage, originally constructed in 1784 and thoughtfully renovated to offer a superior level of comfort, can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. While staying with us, you will experience the perfect blend of modern amenities and preserved historical elements, adding a touch of character to your stay.

Description for Gite

The cottage has undergone an extensive renovation to ensure a high standard of quality throughout. The charming ambiance is enhanced by incorporating various period features into the decoration, creating a tranquil atmosphere perfect for relaxation.

Featuring two bedrooms, each with their own en-suite and private toilet, the property offers flexibility for guests. With advance notice, one of the bedrooms can be arranged with either two single beds or one double bed. Located on the ground floor, the bedrooms remain cool during the hot summer months and offer stunning south easterly views of the valley.

On the second floor, guests will find a comfortable lounge, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen, providing all the necessary amenities for a stress-free holiday.

The cottage also boasts a decked area at the upper entrance, ideal for al fresco dining, barbecues, and secluded sunbathing. For entertainment, a shaded part of the garden features a games area with badminton, swingball, outdoor chess, and swings.

Directions

To get to Mirabelle, follow these travel directions:

If you are coming from the A20, take the exit at Brive and follow the A89 towards Perigueux. Take the exit for La Bachellerie/Thenon (Junction 17) at the motorway exit roundabout, turn right towards Perigueux. Continue on this road until you reach the second roundabout. Take the first exit, which is signed for Saint Rabier/Hautefort (D 704). Follow this road through Saint Rabier and continue for another 11.5 km towards Hautefort.

About 1 km before reaching ST Agnan, you will see an aerial mast on the left. Take the road opposite the Hotel Perigord Noir on the left, which is signed for Maumont. Stay on this road and keep left. After 200m, the road descends for approximately 1.5 km. At the bottom, you will come to a crossroads with a sign for Maumont. However, you must turn sharp right for Les Chareaux. Mirabelle is the first house on the left, situated above the road with a large wooden terrace.

Please note that on some maps and GPS devices, Maumont may be spelled Momon.

If you are approaching from Bordeaux along the A89, continue in the direction of Brive La Gaillarde until you reach the exit for La Bachellerie/Thenon (Junction 17). From there, follow the same directions as above starting from the roundabout at the motorway exit.
