Description for B&B:
All our bedrooms are en-suite, with twin or super king-size beds upstairs and a kingsize bed in the one on the ground floor. A child’s bed or cot can be placed in Bedroom Three. Egyptian cotton bed linen has been used throughout and fluffy towels are provided in the bathrooms. Each room has delightful views out over open countryside. For Chambres d’hôtes guests breakfast is served on the terrace through the summer months or the dining room on cooler days. A hearty continental style breakfast is served with plenty of fresh coffee, fresh bread, croissants and home-made cakes served with a selection of meat and cheeses, jams, fresh fruit and yoghurts.
We serve a table d’hôtes menu every evening, this is a French style four course meal made with local ingredients. For those of you who have never experienced this kind of dining before it is a wonderful way to meet people, guests are seated at the same table usually with the hosts, waistlines permitting!
For anyone who has sampled one of the regions wonderful long lunches a lighter option can be served on one of the terraces, consisting of cheese, bread, fruit and local wine of course.
In France you are never very far away from a good restaurant and this area has many from which you can sample either lunchtime or evening meals. We will be happy to recommend our favourites and make reservations if you require.
What better way to recharge your batteries than with a bit of sunbathing by the pool. Find a quiet corner and relax with a good book and for the amusement of our younger guests there are a selection of garden games. There is also a range of books in the dining room and DVDs for your entertainment. For your safety the pool is alarmed, however children must be supervised by their parents whilst using the pool.
Tourist information is at your disposal to browse through and plan your outings and activities.
The location of Pré de l’Aubier makes it an ideal base from which to discover the Dordogne, Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne departments.
