Description for B&B:

Welcome to our charming traditional stone cottage, which dates back to the 19th Century. We have tastefully renovated the cottage to provide comfortable and characterful accommodation. Situated in a peaceful hamlet near the picturesque river Vienne, our cottage is nestled in the heart of the serene Charente countryside. This idyllic region is renowned for its rolling landscapes, enchanting villages, and medieval chateaux.

Within a short 10-minute stroll across the river Vienne, you will reach the local village of Exideuil. Here, you will find essential amenities such as a bakery (perfect for your morning croissant), a chemist, a grocery store, and charming bars.

The Charente region offers a true taste of traditional French life, with a relaxed pace that invites you to join the locals in enjoying a leisurely glass of pineau. This delightful blend of local wine fortified with cognac is the perfect accompaniment to watching the world go by.

For those seeking a more active holiday, there are numerous options for day trips suitable for all ages and interests. Explore beautiful historic towns like Confolens, Angouleme, and Cognac, famous for its cognac houses. Discover the region's stunning countryside, meander along the picturesque rivers (with the opportunity to kayak), and explore the darkly wooded forests with their walking and cycling trails. Take a refreshing swim in one of the Charente lakes, many of which are supervised by lifeguards and offer beachside facilities. Don't forget to visit the golf courses, chateaux, zoos, and Roman villas - two weeks simply won't be enough time to experience it all!

Located just 30 minutes from Limoges Airport, our cottage is easily accessible. Alternatively, if you prefer to travel by car, it is approximately a 5-hour drive from the ferry ports of Caen or St Malo. If you choose to travel with Brittany Ferries, we can provide you with a discount code.
