Description for Gite
The cottage is located on a 3,500m² plot of land, along with our main house and an independent guest room. It used to be an old barn and on the ground floor, you'll find a combined living room and kitchen, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, there are two interconnecting rooms, one with a 140cm bed and the other with bunk beds for children, along with an additional bed. There is a garden area where you can enjoy meals while taking in the beautiful mountain scenery. We also offer breakfast for 2 or 3 people at our on-site "Chickadees" restaurant.
Please note that we do not allow pets and payment can be made by check.
At the end of your stay, there are additional charges that are not included in the rental price. These include a city tax of 0.34 euros per person per day (children under 5 are exempt) and extra charges for electricity consumption based on the meter reading.
We provide a sufficient stock of wood for the stove free of charge, but please note that the main heating is electric. Linen rental is optional, with prices ranging from 10 euros for single bed sheets to 15 euros for double bed sheets and 5 euros for towels per person. Payment for linen rental is made upon arrival.
For the departure, we offer two options for spring cleaning. You can either do it yourself or pay a fee of 50 euros for us to take care of it.
The Baronnies area has been classified as a zone for remarkable landscapes by Natura 2000. It is home to a Cistercian abbey, a beautiful gulf, and excellent local cheese. The small villages in the area have a timeless charm. We find this place to be magical and rejuvenating.
The town of Lies is 8 km away from Bagnère-de-Bigorre, a charming spa town with a farmers market, a spa center, a cinema, a theater, and a swimming pool. In the surrounding area, you'll find the "TOURMALET - LA MONGIE BAREGES" ski resort, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (known as the ship of the stars), and the city of Lourdes. There are also numerous opportunities for medium and high mountain hikes in our valleys.
We are Sandra and Eric, and we look forward to welcoming you to our cottage.
