Very Nice B&B
Review by: Ray Kelly, Sep 24 2016 1:05PM
We stayed at Maison de l'Oiseau for 2 nights. The rooms were nice and clean, the bed comfortable, good shower and a good selection for the continental breakfast. In addition our room had a fridge and some nice French period features. The location is perfect and Ann and Brian are really friendly and helpful.

Chambre d'hôtes "la maison de l'oiseau"
Review by: FAHY Monique, Sep 29 2012 11:52PM

Directions to The Bird House:

To get to The Bird House, if you are coming from the East or the South, you need to head towards Ploermel and take the RN24 in the direction of Lorient. After approximately 10km, keep an eye out for the Josselin est junction. Take this exit and continue towards the Centre de Ville.

As you descend the hill, you will start to enter the old town, where the streets become narrow and the houses are very close to the road. Continue straight, passing through shops on both sides. Further down the hill, you will see a bakery on the right and a restaurant called La Sarazine on the opposite side.

At this point, make a sharp left turn onto the canal road. As you proceed, you will spot the Chateau ahead. Take your time to slow down and enjoy the view. On the right, you will notice a bridge over the canal, and on the bank, there is a large hotel called Le Hotel du Chateau.

To reach The Bird House, turn right just before reaching the hotel's car park. Continue past it for about 100m, and on your right, you will see black gates. This is Maison Oiseau, also known as The Bird House.
