Description:

Description for B&B:

Located at the meeting point of the Yonne river and the Canal du Nivernais, Mailly-la-Ville is a charming village that offers a unique experience for boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, or simply strolling along the water. The river and canal are major attractions for tourists, especially since the village is adjacent to the picturesque "Les Coûtas" coasts, which were once covered with vineyards but have now disappeared. These coasts offer breathtaking views from the paths that start in the village center.

Situated above one of the locks of the Canal du Nivernais, our three guest rooms are located on the first floor of a 17th-century building, separate from the owners' house. On the ground floor, there is a relaxation area reserved for our guests, including a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals or dine on-site.

In addition, there is a shared inner courtyard that you can enjoy, which belongs to the owners' residence. With a total capacity of eight people, you can book all three bedrooms to have the entire guest house to yourself.

The "Les Coûtas" guest rooms are open year-round, offering a comfortable and memorable stay.

One of our guest rooms, called the "Chambre du Père Leleu," accommodates up to four people and provides a privileged view of one of the locks of the Canal du Nivernais and the Yonne River. This family suite is named after a local figure, Father Leleu, who settled nearby in 1887. He was a former Communard and discovered many prehistoric remains in the caves he lived in. In 1913, his body was found in his cave, and his mysterious death remains a legend. Staying in this room gives you the opportunity to explore the footsteps of Father Leleu.

The family suite consists of two rooms with one double bed and two bunk beds. It has a private bathroom and a separate toilet. The room also has two desks, two storage cabinets, and is equipped with heating. The bathroom includes a shower, washbasin, heated towel rail, and a hairdryer. If you are traveling with children under six years old, we can provide an additional bed.

We look forward to welcoming you to our guest rooms and providing you with a memorable stay in Mailly-la-Ville.
