Description:

Description for B&B:

This description is for a beautiful mansion, built in the late 19th century by an industrialist during the flourishing textile era of the belle epoque. The architecture of the building is typical "à la lyonnaise", with a simple and modest facade facing the road, allowing for a peaceful atmosphere. On the other side, the mansion boasts an exuberant charm, providing a picturesque view of the industrious city of Tarare, framed by majestic trees that have stood for over a century.

Although Tarare may have lost its prominence after that prosperous period, it has regained its vitality through new activities, such as the presence of Gerflor. The history of the Manor is intertwined with the events of April 1943 when it was surrounded and attacked. At that time, the owner, Albert Giron, who was also the leader of the resistance, managed to escape discreetly through the park and later played a significant role in ending the war.

Today, we have transformed the Manor into a guesthouse, offering four charming rooms for accommodation, as well as spacious reception rooms for celebrations. The ambiance within this grand house, located on the outskirts of town, is reminiscent of a theatrical setting, with a shaded park and a serene duck pond. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the manor's dining room, and Lyon cuisine is served at the table d'hôtes.

Conveniently accessible from the A89 motorway (Tarare Center exit), we are only a 35-minute car or train ride away from Lyon, the capital of Gaul and renowned for its gastronomy. For the convenience of our guests, we provide a private enclosed car park and WiFi access.
