Description for Gite

We have two charming gîtes and a large guestroom available on our property.

Gîte "La Maison" is a beautifully spacious house with a loft-like feel. It boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and is located in a converted old barn. Inside, you will find a dining area with an open kitchen, as well as a cozy sitting area with a TV offering Dutch and a few English channels. The bedrooms feature comfortable box spring beds (180x200), which can be separated into two beds if needed. An additional single bed can also be provided. Outside, there is a delightful terrace where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature.

"Le Chalet" is a charming cottage with a stunning view of the valley from its private terrace. This gîte offers a kitchenette, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet, and a sleeping area with a double box spring bed. There is also a sitting area with a sofa bed. Connected to the terrace is a walkway leading to a tree house, complete with a bunk bed for children. For your peace of mind, a camera is installed in the tree house, allowing you to keep an eye on your little ones via a monitor in the gîte.

"The Doré" is a romantic and spacious room, featuring a double bed and two single beds for children. It includes a shower room with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. In the morning, we serve a delicious breakfast consisting of pastries, baguette, fruit salad, fresh fruit juice, and homemade specialties. If you prefer not to cook, you also have the option to join the owners and potentially other guests for a delightful dinner.

Directions

By Car:
To reach Lauzerte by car, you can take the A20 highway between Cahors and Agen. If you are coming from Brussels, the distance is approximately 900 km, while from Amsterdam it is around 1,100 km. Once you reach Paris, follow the signs towards Bordeaux, then continue towards Orleans and Vierzon. Take the exit towards the A20 highway, heading towards Toulouse. Afterward, take exit number 58 (Cahors South) and continue on the N20 towards Cahors. Just before reaching Cahors, turn onto the D653 towards Montcuq. Follow the D653 until you reach Lauzerte. At the junction with the D2, turn towards Montaigu de Quercy. After approximately 7 km, turn left onto the D60 towards Toufailles. After 2 km, you will arrive at the intersection of Pont Fourcat. Bounetis Bas is located at the top of the hill, and there are signs to guide you. For GPS navigation, enter the following details: City: Lauzerte, Street: Pont Fourcat, House number: none.

By TGV:
Lauzerte is also accessible by TGV (high-speed train) via Agen, which is located 40 km away from Lauzerte.

By Plane:
If you prefer to travel by plane, the closest airports are Toulouse and Bergerac, both approximately a 1-hour drive from Bounetis Bas. We recommend booking a car from your home as it is cheaper and more convenient. Toulouse airport offers connections with Zaventem (Brussels Airline & EasyJet), Amsterdam (KLM), and Lille (EasyJet & Hop!). Bergerac airport has connections with Rotterdam (Transavia) and Charleroi (Ryanair).
