Description for B&B:

The village of Morey is situated in BELLEAU, a town perched 305 meters above sea level on the side of the Natagne valley, spanning from the east to the west side of the Moselle rating in the Massif of the grand Romanesque couronné. This charming village is home to a twelfth-century church dedicated to St. Peter. The population consists of around a hundred villagers, affectionately known as the wolves. Morey Castle, originally built in the twelfth century on the remains of a Templar monastery, has a rich history. After the lords vanished in the fourteenth century, Morey came under the ownership of JEHAN TOULON Nomeny, who maintained the fortified house until the seventeenth century. The property then passed to Brassel JOLY MOREY, and later to George DUCROCQ, a renowned writer. Unfortunately, in 1985, the castle was destroyed by fire and abandoned. All that remained were four walls. However, with great courage and determination, we have managed to transform these ruins into five guest rooms amidst a stunning natural setting. Our establishment boasts a spacious garden, protected by a five-meter wall, featuring a variety of trees such as chestnut, cedar of Lebanon, lime, copper beeches, oaks, maple, and even a charming duck pond.
