Directions

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:
We are located in the Pays de la Loire region, near the village of Averton, which is on the northern border with Normandy. Our B&B, La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie, is conveniently situated between Alencon and Le Mans, approximately equidistant from both.

To reach us, we recommend using LD Lines and taking the Newhaven-Dieppe service. Driving from the M25 junction that connects to the M23, it takes about an hour to reach Newhaven. The ferry journey itself lasts around four hours and provides a relaxing start to your trip. Once you arrive in Dieppe, it will take approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach us in St. Aubin du Desert via Rouen. Thanks to the speedy A28, this journey is now much faster compared to a few years ago when there was no autoroute.

For those traveling from the ferry ports, Dieppe, Caen, and Le Havre are approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes away, Cherbourg is 3 hours away, and Calais is 3 hours and 45 minutes away. Le Mans is a 50-minute drive, Alencon is 30 minutes away, Mayenne is also 30 minutes away, and the Loire Valley & Saumur are about 1 hour and 45 minutes away.

DIRECTIONS: If you are traveling south on the A28, take exit 20 and drive towards Sille le Guillaume. Continue driving to Fresnay sur Sarthe, then to Souge le Ganelon, and proceed to St Paul le Gaultier. From there, head towards Villaines la Juhel on the D15, which later becomes the D119 as it enters the Mayenne. Take a right turn onto the D268 towards Gesvres, and then take the first right to reach La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie.

If you are using a GPS to navigate, enter "LA CESNERIE 53700" for directions to our hamlet, which consists of only 3 houses. La Maison de Noyer is located down a short drive off the D268 and through a metal field gate.
