Directions

By Air: You can fly into either Tarbes - Ossun - Lourdes Airport or Pau Airport - Uzein. Another option is to fly into Toulouse Airport and then take the TGV train to Paris, Tarbes, and finally Lourdes. For more detailed directions, click here.

Getting to Lourdes by car can be a bit tricky due to the one-way streets that change every 15 days. If you're coming from the city center, from the 1st to the 15th of the month, take Rue de la Grotte. However, from the 16th to the 30th/31st of the month, you should take Boulevard de la Grotte. Make sure to check the direction of flow on the day of your arrival.

If you prefer to take the bus, there are shuttles available from the station (Citybus) that run every 15 minutes. The blue bus, called CITY BUS, offers one or two lines that go to the Grotto, the hotel, and the station. The price is 1.20€ per person for a one-way trip or 2.20€ for a return trip, and the buses operate from 7:00 to 19:00 (until 22:30 in July and August).

For parking options, there are several areas and private parking lots near the Sanctuary. Some options include Paradise Esplanade, Esplanade of Arrouza, Municipal Parking Peyramale (located in downtown), and Municipal Parking Merlasse (near the sanctuaries). There are also paid parking lots near the Sanctuary, such as Parking Boissarie, Rue du Docteur Boissarie, Quai St Jean, Sainte Marie, Place de la Merlasse, Careers Peyramale Street, Avenue du Paradis, Paradise Esplanade Parking, From Equality, Rémi Sempé Avenue, and Bishop Avenue.
