Description for B&B:

Le mas de Salel is a charming property with a rich history. Originally a sheep farm established in the 18th century, it has now been transformed into a delightful accommodation option. The property boasts 12 tastefully decorated double rooms and 6 spacious holiday apartments, each featuring garden terraces for a relaxing outdoor experience. Guests can also enjoy a refreshing dip in the beautiful swimming pool, which offers stunning views of the picturesque village of Montagnol.

Located in the heart of the Grands Causses’ Natural Park in the South of France, Le mas de Salel is situated 93 km to the Northwest of Montpellier. This idyllic setting, at an elevation of 700 meters, provides guests with breathtaking vistas of the Larzac plateau. Interestingly, from the 18th century until 1960, the property played a significant role in producing ewes milk for the world-renowned Roquefort caves.

The historical significance of Le mas de Salel can be traced back even further, as it was already mentioned as a farm linked to the renowned Sylvanès abbey during the 12th century. This adds a touch of antiquity to the property, enhancing its allure.
