Directions

If you are driving from the ferry ports of Caen, Cherbourg, St Malo, or Roscoff, it will take approximately 4-5 hours by car. If you are traveling from Calais or Boulogne, the journey will take around 6-7 hours. You can use the route planner on http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/viamichelin/gbr/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm for assistance. Make sure to select Boussais, Deux-Sevres (79600) as there are multiple French villages with the same name.

If you are coming from Saumur or Poitiers, take the first left (Rue de la Daviere) when you reach the village, followed by the first right (Rue des Tilleuls). The house will be on your left-hand side. If you are coming from Nantes or Bressuire, pass the square with the mairie and bar/restaurant in the village, and after the church, take the first right (Rue de la Daviere) and then the next right (Rue des Tilleuls). The house will be in front of you on the left. Park your car at the side of the house.

If you prefer to travel by air, the nearest airport is Poitiers, which is approximately a 45-minute drive away. Ryanair operates flights from Stansted and Birmingham to this airport. There are three other airports, namely Nantes, Tours, and La Rochelle, which are about 90 minutes away. These airports are served by various airlines from multiple UK airports, including Ryanair, Flybe, and Jet2.
