Located in the heart of the Cévennes and Ardèche Regional Natural Park of Monts d'Ardèche, this charming country cottage offers tranquility and a connection to nature. Situated at an elevation of 640 meters in the small village of Aizac, surrounded by chestnut groves, it provides a peaceful retreat. From Aizac Pass, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Volane valleys to the East and the Besorgues valleys to the West. Numerous hiking trails are available for you to explore the area, including the impressive volcano of Aizac, which has been standing for 80,000 years.

Activities such as fishing, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, swimming, tennis, kayaking, and hiking are easily accessible. The cottage comfortably accommodates four people on the ground floor, featuring one bedroom with a double bed and two single bunk beds, as well as a living room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen. A bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet is also provided. Pets are allowed with prior arrangement for an additional fee of 15.

If desired, breakfast can be served and a picnic can be arranged for your excursions. The pricing varies depending on the season, with the high season (June 29th to August 31st) priced at 500 per week, the mid-season (May, June, September, and school vacations) at 300 per week, and the low season at 200 per week. Weekend rates are 200 in mid-season and 160 in low season. Discounts of 10% for two consecutive weeks and 15% for three are available in mid and low seasons.

Embark on countless hiking adventures along the remarkable volcanic landscapes of Ardèche, with the iconic Cup of Volcano Aizac towering over the village and its humble inhabitants for over 80,000 years. Engage in various outdoor activities such as fishing, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, invigorating swimming, tennis, kayaking, and, of course, hiking. Calling all sports enthusiasts!

Our comfortable ground floor cottage accommodates 2 to 6 guests. It features one bedroom with a double bed and two bunk beds, as well as a living room with a sofa bed and a TV. The well-equipped kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and more. A bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet completes the amenities. Step outside onto the terrace and immerse yourself in the surrounding natural beauty. Pets are welcome to join your stay.

Directions

To reach VALS LES BAINS, which is located 10 km north of AUBENAS, follow the directions towards "The Cheylard" and "Antraigues Volane." As you reach the end of Vals les Bains, avoid taking the D 243 road towards Aizac on the left. Instead, continue on the D 578 road that will lead you through the Volane valley. Along the way, you will notice impressive basaltic flows from the Aizac volcano. Pass through several hamlets until you reach the village of Antraigues. Do not enter the village, but take the first left road towards AIZAC. After a few bends, you will arrive at the Col d'Aizac, which stands at an altitude of 642 m.
