Located near the charming medieval city of Mirepoix, Montségur, and the Pyrenees, lOUSTAL AUX HIRONDELLES serves as an ideal base for exploring the Cathar Pyrenees. This simple-style cottage is nestled in a peaceful and relaxing Ariège hamlet, offering approximately 140m² of living space. The cottage features a spacious 30m² living room-kitchen, 4 bedrooms with a total sleeping capacity of 140, a bathroom, an outdoor courtyard, and covered parking for vehicles.

Conveniently, there is a village just a 5-minute walk away, which boasts an artisanal bakery with a grocery store and newspaper stand. Additionally, the cottage is situated just 100m from a river.

From April to the end of October, we provide a warm welcome to all our guests. Our rates are flexible and depend on the number of rooms occupied. For up to 2 bedrooms, the rate is 300 euros per week. For 3 bedrooms, the rate is 400 euros per week, and for all 4 bedrooms, the rate is 500 euros per week (excluding tourist tax). Our cottage offers a functional layout that combines simplicity with modern comforts. It is equipped with amenities such as a TV, dishwasher, washing machine, conventional and microwave ovens, and more. The spacious outdoor area is fenced and perfect for dining outside with a table and barbecue. Additionally, there is covered parking available for your vehicle.

In general, our farmhouse provides a comfortable and cozy atmosphere in the tranquil Ariège Cathar Pyrenees region, surrounded by forests, mountains, and rich historical and prehistoric sites. Mirepoix, with its population of 3100, is just 10 km away and offers all the necessary amenities for your daily needs. Within a 50 km radius, you will find a wide range of activities to enjoy, regardless of the weather. These include cultural and sports activities, as well as visits to natural, medieval, and prehistoric sites.

Nearby towns include Lavelanet, Pamiers, Foix, Tarascon, Carcassonne, St Girons, St Lizier, and Toulouse. Andorra is just 1 hour and 30 minutes away, while the sea and Spain are both 2 hours away.

The Ariège region offers a multitude of leisure activities to suit everyone's interests. From natural sites to museums, local gastronomy, and various other activities, there is something for both young and old. Within a 30-minute drive, you can visit the fortified village of Camon, which boasts 400 rosebushes, explore Montbel Lake, discover the historic Foix Castle, explore caves, embark on an underground river tour at Labouiche, visit the Prehistory Park, or enjoy hiking trails suitable for all levels. Fishing is also possible in the river or lake.
