Nature lovers can indulge in their favourite pursuits such as fishing, hiking and cycling.You will be welcomed in an elegant traditional mid-19th century farmhouse on the quay of the Cher river. Renovated in 2012, the farmhouse dominates a 5 000 m² park full of different species of trees with plenty of places to sit and relax.Breakfast is served on the ground floor in a big living-room of more than 60m² dominated by a majestic fireplace. On the first floor, 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and toilets are ready for our guests .

Also at your disposal are a private parking area and a locked storage room for your bicycles and your fishing, golf or other equipment.

In fine weather, you can picnic in the shade of the trees in our garden.

You will enjoy the calm and the authentic charm of the house. At every moment, you can contemplate the reflections of Cher river.


In the valley of Kings and situated within 5 to 20 miles from our home, here are some of the principal chateaux you can discover: cf liens avec chaque sites • Chenonceau, Nitray, Amboise and Clos Lucé (final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci) Montpoupon, Montbazon Fort, Langeais, Chinon, Azay Le Rideau, Chaumont sur Loire, Loches and Villandry chateaux. A little further away, in one hour’s car drive: • Chateaux of Cheverny (used a model for the fictional Moulinsart chateau in the Tintin books), Chambord, Blois and Beauregard. And the homes of famous authors such as Ronsard, Rabelais and Balzac. The town of Tours an “Art and History” town will arouse your curiosity (http://www.tours-tourisme.fr). The gardens of Villandry, Chaumont sur Loire, the romanticism of the Chatonniere, the tomato museum at the Bourdaisiere chateau, the roses at Saint Comes, the parks of the Chenonceau and Amboise chateaux. And the forests of the Kings of France so valued for hunting in which you can stroll about in all seasons, particularly in the autumn with the impressive rutting of the stags.

Directions to Aux Reflets du Cher

Our home is only 10 minutes away from the TGV high-speed train station and the nearest motorway exit. The train journey to Paris is only 55 minutes and, in 2 and ½ hours by car, you can be entering the capital. Tours centre is 15 minutes away and light aircraft owners will note that we are only 10 minutes away from Amboise Dierre aerodrome. We will be happy to help you plan your flight.
