Description:

Description for B&B:

Mas de Garrigue is a captivating and historically significant house, originally a hunting lodge and fortified farm from the 15th century. This remarkable estate showcases numerous original features, including grand stone fireplaces, arrowslits, a window from the 15th century, stone sinks, majestic oak beams, and even pigeon coops.

Sarah and Steven have poured their love and respect into restoring this house, infusing it with elegant taste and occasionally adding a contemporary flair. The seamless fusion of Irish antiques and art with the charm of French architecture creates a truly harmonious atmosphere.

Nestled in the breathtaking Midi Pyrenees region of South West France, Sarah and Steven extend warm Irish hospitality to their guests. Sarah's culinary expertise, acquired through her studies in Paris, perfectly complements Steven's heritage from the renowned Irish culinary and hospitable Allen clan. Their shared passion for food and wine is evident in the sumptuous dinners they offer, crafted from homegrown and locally sourced produce. Each year, Steve raises two "Noir de Gascon" pigs, which Sarah skillfully transforms into delectable terrines, pates, saucisse, and hams. Additionally, Steven keeps the kitchen fully stocked with an array of vegetables, tomatoes, herbs, and even saffron.
