Description for B&B:

Situated in Jonquières, just 6 miles away from the Orange antique theater and a short 20-minute drive from Avignon, the Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat is a charming, old stone farmhouse in the heart of Popess Provence and the sunny Vaucluse region. This bed and breakfast showcases the typical Provençal style, with buildings that date back to the 17th century. While preserving its authentic rustic character and charm, the accommodation has been carefully renovated to ensure modern comfort in all its offerings. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Ventoux and stay in comfortable self-catering accommodations. The area is perfect for tourism and visits, with beautiful landscapes and lavender fields in the nearby Luberon area. Conveniently located near Avignon and Chateauneuf du Pape, guests can also explore the wine route and indulge in unforgettable wine tasting of Cotes du Rhone wines. The Avignon TGV train can be reached from Paris in just 2 hours and 40 minutes, and from CDG airport in 3 hours. Surrounded by Cotes du Rhone vineyards, the Mas offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. The owners, Charles and Andrée Barail, are fluent in English and reside in the main house. Additionally, there are two self-contained studio apartments and two larger two-bedroom apartments available for guests. All four guest apartments feature private WC, shower, and kitchen facilities. Directions

Please be aware that for the privacy of our guests, we have purposely decided not to have any signs indicating the entrance to the Mas on our driveway.

If you are approaching from the A7 motorway, take the Orange Sud exit (#22) and follow the signs for Avignon. After that, make a left turn onto the D 950 road heading towards Vaison-la-Romaine & Carpentras. Disregard the first sign for Jonquières and continue on the D 950. When you reach a roundabout, follow the sign for Jonquières and just before entering the village, take a right turn into the driveway of the Mas called "Chemin de l'Escarrat". This will be immediately after passing the Sotalis company, approximately 1 kilometer after the roundabout.

If you are coming from Orange, drive through the village of Jonquières towards Carpentras using Avenue de la Libération. As you approach the exit of the village, take a left turn into a driveway flanked by the walls of the Sotalis company. At the entrance of the road, you will notice a sign indicating it is a "dead end road". The Mas will be approximately 400 meters along this driveway.
