Description:

Description for B&B:

Welcome to La Poterie, a historic artist's home situated in the heart of Loches Royal, a charming and unique thousand-year-old citadel town in the southern side of the Loire Valley. This elegant and romantic house offers a spacious yet cozy environment, perfect for accommodating 2 to 8 people. Additionally, a continental breakfast option is available.

The master bedroom is a highlight, featuring a balcony with breathtaking sunsets and a luxurious orthopedic and gel-form mattress. It also boasts an ensuite bath/shower room. Adjacent to the master bedroom is a smaller bedroom, ideal for children who prefer to sleep near their parents. One advantage of the layout is that the bedrooms are distanced from the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas, ensuring a peaceful and restful sleep.

For an additional fee, there is a third double bedroom with its own ensuite shower and WC. Other notable features of the house include spacious dining and lounge areas, a contemporary DVD collection, and a walled garden where guests are welcome to pick seasonal produce. The garden also includes a charming rose arbour with roses, grapes, and kiwis that can be enjoyed when in season. Additionally, there is a hanging garden with rare botanicals and a variety of herbs, perfect for a relaxing game of croquet or sunbathing in a beautiful and secluded setting.

One of our most prized features is the Rapunzel-like tower, built within the ramparts, which provides direct access to the bi-weekly market and best restaurants in Loches within minutes. The convenience of having your car parked for free directly opposite the house enhances the pleasure of wining and dining in this delightful town.

Directions

After arriving in France, make your way towards Tours. While the A10 can be a quicker route, keep in mind that there is a toll for using this autoroute. Alternatively, you can take the N143, which is free, and it will lead you to Loches. Follow the directions towards Chateauroux, which is located south of Tours. Once you reach Loches, proceed towards "Centre ville" and then "Cité médiéval". On your left, you will notice the ramparts along with the tower, where you'll find plenty of free parking spaces. At the base of the dungeon, take the first left, and you will be on the correct road that leads to your home in Loches. Please make a note that n° 12 mail de la Poterie features a unique sculpted wooden facade, which is the only one in the town.
