Description:

Description for B&B:

Our accommodations are tastefully furnished and consist of two self-contained studio apartments. Each apartment features a luxurious king-size bed, an ensuite shower room, a small kitchen, and a breakfast room. The kitchens are equipped for light snacks, warming up food for children, making lunch packs, and preparing dinner.

Due to the COVID pandemic, we are currently unable to offer breakfast or evening meals. As a result, the studios are rented on a Gite basis or self-catering, and the price is adjusted accordingly. We do, however, welcome dogs, and our guest rooms open directly onto a large garden where you can relax. The garden also includes a picnic and barbecue area, as well as sunbeds for your use.

We have a friendly Border Collie named Freddie, who is loved by all our guests and visiting dogs. He is well-behaved, socialized with people and other dogs, including small children. We also have a German Spitz named Loupie, who is equally adorable and well-behaved.

In addition to these amenities, our accommodations offer Freeview TV with both English and French channels, free internet/WiFi, boules, a fridge freezer, a microwave, a cooker, and access to a washing machine and dryer upon request. We also provide a hairdryer.

Located in a rural area, our B&B provides a unique opportunity to explore the richness of our region, taste regional products, and meet local people. Beyond the coastal area, Calvados offers beautiful landscapes, architecture, and numerous tourist sites. From the Bessin area of the famous D-Day Landings to the Pays d'Auge with its half-timbered houses, you can discover the wild gorges and picturesque valleys of La Suisse Normande.

The Bocage Virois is perfect for walking and fishing, while the Pays de Falaise holds historical significance as the fiefdom of William the Conqueror. As you explore this beautiful area, you will appreciate the subtle diversity and natural beauty it offers.

We are conveniently located near the famous beaches of the Normandy Landings, such as Omaha, Arromanches, Juno, Pegasus, and the memorials. Other nearby attractions include the old castle at Vire, Mont St Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry, and the castle of William the Conqueror in Falaise.

The surrounding countryside is ideal for motor biking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, paragliding, golfing, and fishing. There are numerous way-marked and unmarked walks, with Roche d'Oëtre being a favorite. Nearby towns like Thury Harcourt, Clecy, Le Vey, and Bagnole de l'Orne are also worth a visit. Bagnole de l'Orne, in particular, is known for its beautiful spring and summer displays of hanging baskets and flower boxes. Additionally, it offers a casino by the lake and numerous restaurants. The castle at Carrouges is just a short 15-minute drive away.

Surrounded by history and nature, whether you are passing through or staying for a few extra days, your time at La Ferme Bed & Breakfast will be luxurious, comfortable, and memorable. Our tranquil and peaceful setting is perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the only sound you will hear is the birdsong.

During your stay, you can also enjoy the beautiful dahlia display on the terraces opposite the house. These stunning flowers provide constant beauty and can also be enjoyed as fresh cut flowers from July until the first frost. We have plenty of tourist information leaflets, maps, and recommended routes available for your convenience, including our favorite local restaurants.

Please note that we have a strict no-smoking policy. Unfortunately, due to the age and structure of the house, we are unable to provide wheelchair facilities. However, the accommodations are on the garden/parking level for guests who may have difficulties with stairs. Parking is conveniently located directly in front of the door.

Description for Gite

You have the option to book our apartments as Gites, providing the flexibility of self-catering. A minimum stay of one week (7 nights) is required. Each studio apartment can accommodate an additional guest with a fold-up bed. Additionally, we offer a complimentary baby cot upon request.
