It takes a great deal of "sang Froid"to resist the romance, ambience and the integrity of this 12th and 15th century manor house steeped in history. Nestling in it’s 20 acre grounds, in the curve of the Guindy River, the Manor House at Troguindy has been a family home for at least 800 years.Guests can enjoy the aperitifs in the medieval salon, meals served in the dining room, sun in the courtyard garden and languid riverside promenades, there is even a fern-clad island in the river and a small trout fishing lake. the medieval town of Treguier is just over a kilometre away. Paimpol, Perros Guirec and Lannion are within 30 minutes drive, as is La Roche Jagu Castle, the gardens of Kerdalo, Kestillic, Abbey de Beauport, Abbey de Doulas and if these don't capture you interest there are always our sandy cotes d'armor beaches.

At the heart of an area of 8 acres at the edge of a meander of the River Guindy, Manor Troguindy was a family home for nearly 800 years. Originally built as a fortress for a knight of the odre the temple, he then became the home of the generation of viscounts Troguindy. Ultimately owned by the Duke of Richelieu at the time of the Revolution, the house was later converted into a charming residence.
Its mighty walls provide a secure yet comfortable for those who stay. The original fireplaces from the 12th and 15th centuries, doorways carved in granite, leaded glass windows to keep the atmosphere that immerses you in the Middle Ages.

Directions to Chambres d'hôtes du manoir de TroguindyOn your arrival in Treguier, exit the square at the north entrance to the cathedral. Continue for approx 1 km with this route until you descend into the valley of the guindy river, when you reach the bottom of the valley the road curves to the right over a bridge, take the left hand branch of this intersection, looking in the mirror to ascertain oncoming traffic over the bridge. Continue on up the hill until you see the sign for the entrance to Troguindy - a sharp right hand turn into our tree lined avenue. follow the drive around to our spacious parking area.
