Directions

Sixt Fer à Cheval is a village that is situated near the villages of Samoens, Morillon, and Verchaix. It is located in the Valley High Giffre, which is nestled in the Alps.

This valley, which is positioned halfway between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, offers a plethora of attractions and natural wonders.

If you are traveling from Geneva, which is approximately 50 km away, the easiest route is to take the A40 highway towards Annemasse and Cluses.

To reach Sixt Fer à Cheval, you have a few options:

1. From Geneva Cointrin Airport or train station
2. From Lyon, either Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport or the train station
3. From Annecy train station

Once you reach Cluses, take the exit towards Morillon Samoens on the A40 highway. From there, follow the main road D4, and then take the main road D907 towards Samoens. After passing through a vast plain called the plain of Vallon, you will come across a small hamlet called Perret (which consists of three or four houses). After a few twists and turns, you will see a small road on the left, in front of a chapel. Take this road towards Mount and continue straight until the end.

As you proceed, you will encounter a charming village called Balme top, followed by a beautiful forest. Keep going until you finally reach Mount, where Sixt Fer à Cheval awaits you.
